Bishop's Welcome on Girl's Child Day
Description: It was a day of great pride for St .Joseph's Girls' College as the Most Rev. Bishop Louis Mascarenhas paid a visit to the school and attended the long assembly on the occasion of Girl Child Day. Being the first manager of the school, it was our privilege to welcome him as the Bishop. He was given a floral welcome followed by a congratulation song. The students presented skit, dance and poem on the theme of the day. The winners of the CISCE Table Tennis, Cricket and Basketball competitions were felicitated by the Bishop. In his address, he congratulated the students for the wonderful assembly and appreciated the teachers for their dedication and commitment. Remembering the old days, he said that he is happy to see the growth in the children and its the effort of teachers which is reflecting in the students. He also mentioned the former manager Rev. Fr. Stephen Manoj D'Souza for making positive changes in the school and getting it affiliated to the ICSE and ISC. He also thanked the manager of the school Rev. Fr. Valerian D'Souza and the principal Rev. Sr. Gretta for guiding the students and teachers well. A beautiful card congratulating him on his Episcopal Ordination as the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allahabad and a memento was presented to him as a token of love and gratitude. The assembly was dispersed with the National Anthem.
