Description:
St. Joseph's Girls' College organised Art Technica- Where Art meets Science, an Art & Science exhibition on 9th November 2024 which not only gave the students and parents an opportunity to gain knowledge but also provided them with a lot of entertainment.
The most Rev. Bishop Louis Mascarenhas was the chief guest for the day.

Vipin D'Souza ,Fr Walter D'Silva, the Principal of St. Joseph College, Fr Melwyn Pais, Dr. Santosh, Professor, Chemistry Department, CMP Degree College , Dr. Deepak Gond, Professor, Botany Department, CMP Degree College, CJ Sisters including Sr Cecilia CJ, Sr Florence CJ, Sr Daya CJ , Sr Vinaya CJ, CSN sisters were the other dignitaries who attended the event.
On this occasion, the manager and the principal warmly welcomed all the guests.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, the Bishop of diocese of Allahabad, the most Rev. Louis Mascarenhas with a ribbon cutting and prayer followed by the lamp lighting ceremony.
Since it was an Art and Science Exhibition, the revealing of the theme was done in a scientific manner. A clear liquid was sprayed by the most Rev. Bishop on a blank sheet of paper and pink letters appeared revealing the theme "Art Technica". It was followed by the Bishop pouring a magical powder in the crate of a volcano made by the students and a lava-like liquid started oozing out of it.
Lastly, the Bishop declared the exhibition open by pressing a switch which was connected to a pair of cannons also made by the students. The confetti blew everywhere marking a colorful beginning to the event.
In the exhibition, all the students presented their projects in front of the parents and visitors. The hard work and creativity of the students was appreciated by everyone.The models and projects related to all the subjects became the center of attraction. Alongwith subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Computer, Geography, History/ Civics, there was also a wonderful display of art and craft. The creativity of children fascinated all the visitors. Along with this, stalls of swings, games and delicious food were also set up which entertained the children and parents a lot. Bishop Louis Mascarenhas saw various models with the children, appreciated their work and encouraged them. He also played games at the stall. Bishop's engagement with the students and his encouragement was inspiring for everyone.
The manager and the principal thanked the guests and the parents for their gracious presence and co-operation. They appreciated the teachers and the students for their hard work and for putting up a good show.
